This charming little guesthouse was newly completed in October 2000. Directly in front of the Shruti is a coconut grove, which is the short cut that leads down to the beach with its restaurants, beach shacks and sun umbrellas.

The Shruti has a lovely little restaurant serving multi-cuisine dishes and where you can enjoy a refreshing drink in the garden bar. For those who know Goa, it's next to the Little Italy Restaurant and down a lane opposite the Kamat Hotel. We walked down the lane to Calangute beach, passing lots of little restaurants and several bars. It took five minutes to reach the beach; we were told later that we went the long way round!

This charming little hotel is an absolute dream. It's built in the mock-Victorian style (hence the name) and comprises of 4 small blocks cradled by a mango tree.

There is a small swimming pool and situated beneath the mango tree is a restaurant and bar. Situated just off the Baga Road very close to Calangute, with the bars and restaurants of Baga Beach only 3 minutes away.

The Hotel Thushara is a 20 bedroom hotel situated in the centre of the village opposite Edi's Pizza House. Surrounded by pathways, the hotel is ideal for accessing all Kovalam facilities as it is centrally placed for all the action and only a short walk away from shops, bars and restaurants. Whether you need a bottle of cold water, sun cream, a pair of shoes or some new clothes made at one of the many tailors, it's all there on your doorstep.

The accommodation is also very close to the beach, approx. 75 metres walk to both Hawah and Lighthouse Beaches.
